World Scoutingintegrates education for a culture of peace
At its 43rd World Conference, WOSM adopted Resolution 2024-J on Living Together in Peace on 23 August 2024, committing over 70 million young Scouts worldwide to building a culture of peace.
Based on United Nations General Assembly Resolution A/RES/72/130, adopted unanimously by the 193 Member States, proclaiming May 16 as the International Day of Living Together in Peace, this resolution invites all Member Scout Organizations to celebrate this day each year and to integrate Education for a Culture of Peace into their programmes.
In this momentum, the 19th African Scout Conference, held from 17 to 21 September 2025 under the theme “Living Together in Peace”, opened a new cycle of partnership, dialogue and shared commitment with Africa, in the service of youth and the Culture of Peace.
By giving young people the tools to face the challenges of the world with wisdom and humanity, we are sowing the seeds of a more just future.
